Chiropractic & Applied Kinesiology

How can Chiropractic improve my health?

  • A Chiropractic Doctor identifies joints in the body that are not, "moving, twisting and turning,“ in normal range of motion. A physical exam identifies these problem areas. Chiropractic adjustments improve range of motion and decreases pain. Dr. Dotto incorporates massage techniques and therapeutic stretching to her treatments. Appropriate exercises are recommended for patients to continue improvement at home.
  • Research supports chiropractic treatment's positive effects on long term back pain. Dysfunctional neural responses can be resolved by re-integrating/re-establishing balanced biofeedback.

What is Applied Kinesiology (AK)?

  • The combined terms “applied” and “kinesiology” describe this non-invasive evaluation system. By "applying" manual muscle testing, Dr. Dotto can evaluate body function through the dynamics of the musculoskeletal system.
  • AK philosophy assesses the body by identifying triggers of illness which can be either mental, physical, or emotional.
  • Dr. Dotto is professionally trained in Applied Kinesiology techniques to assess your body's needs.
  • AK skills are developed and approved by the International College of Applied Kinesiology Board of Standards.
  • Many disciplines refine and utilize AK skills including: Chiropractic,  Osteopathy, Medicine, Dentistry, Acupuncture, Biochemistry, Psychology, Homeopathy, and Naturopathy etc.
  • AK knowledge is shared through professional publications and conferences of the International College of Applied Kinesiology (ICAK) and its chapters.
